4 Valve Flugelhorn

I ordered this horn directly from the factory. Previously, I always thought “I don’t play flugelhorn enough to warrant having a good one.” As it turns out, I didn’t play flugelhorn very much because I didn’t have a great one.

This instrument is special. This horn has a custom yellow brass bell - the room just lights up when you play it. It’s Palladium plated with a raw bell. The stand out feature is obviously the 4th valve. Van Laar tuned the 4th valve slightly lower than normal to facilitate intonation in the extreme low register.
